We developed the redesign of ZDF Länderspiegel - on air weekly since 1969. Since the format meanwhile has become much more than a tv-only brand - with younger viewers primarily accessing the content via social media and the ZDF Mediathek - we completely modernized the on-air design and branding.
We created a branding that can do justice to the formats self-understanding as a forward oriented news format - not a „week in review“ format. The simple design principal of mirroring elements (and consequently split screens) inspired the whole design packaging - from logo to on-air design.
